Hey there! These are some good questions.
The curation rewards are paid in ELIXIR based on the same HP earned from curation. Yes, I've attached two screenshots. I don't have previous examples to show but this is an example of what would be paid out if today was Saturday. The one script calculates how much to pay for dividends. The second shows how much to pay delegators in ELIXIR. It's the same curated HP factored into the calculations. One thing to note is I (bulliontools) deliberately designed the script to exclude my own delegation to the nectarbytes account. I (bulliontools) will never get an ELIXIR payout for delegating, which means higher payments to everyone else.
Here's the easiest way to mathematically calculate the delegation payout.
(Weekly curation earnings) ÷ (0.5)(Highest market price for ELIXIR)
So using those screenshots above and keeping in mind we're in the second sales tranche: 158.615 (rounded) × (0.5)(2 HIVE - 2nd tranche price) = 158.615 (rounded, but ELIXIR covers up to 6 decimals)
The funds being powered down will come from this account's staked HP. The same script that calculates dividend payouts will be used to look back historically at the last 13 weeks of earnings and then initiate a power down based on 90% of what was earned. This way the account continues to grow and be self-sustaining. Because of the nature of power downs there will be a lag. If there is any subsidy needed it'll be disclosed in the update posts. If there were to be any distributions they would certainly be disclosed, but the project is designed to operate fairly. If I (bulliontools) want to earn more in dividends, then I have to come up with my own HIVE to buy it from the nectarbytes account, which is then powered up to the account. Everyone is treated the same.
I can roughly extrapolate that data based on the current scenario, to give a worst-case scenario if all tokens were accounted for. That number of 142.753 is based on a current HP of 161,570.820.
142.753 ÷ 161,570.820 = 0.0008835321 HP earned / HP delegated
250,000 × 0.0008835321 = 220.88 HIVE/week paid out.
Assuming all 200,000 tokens are accounted for and staked, here's the worst-case scenario:
220.88 HIVE ÷ 200,000 ELIXIR = 0.0011044151 HIVE paid per ELIXIR
Now, the minimim to qualify for dividends is 50 ELIXIR staked. So, assuming everyone has at least 50, the minimim one would receive is 0.055220755 HIVE/week if all tokens are accounted for and the account has 250,000 HP and no delegations.
There are no expenses incurred by the project to run the scripts, pay out dividends, pay delegators, etc.
Once all 100,000 ELIXIR are paid out to delegators, all that's left are any existing sales tranche(s) at that point. An advanced notice would be given to delegators so they aren't continuing to delegate with no reward. Dividends to stakers of the token would continue normally.
At this point I don't have a definitive plan yet for a buyback. I have some ideas I'm considering. There wouldn't be a redeemable claim on the accumulated HP. I've mentioned being open to a buyback option, but that would have to be at the point where the project reaches maturity. I've also stated if anyone has concerns about liquidating, they're more than welcome to contact me (bulliontools) to discuss a possible arrangement. Any tokens that are bought back would likely be re-listed for sale on the market again, but not any lower than the last highest sales tranche. My ultimate goal is nobody is trapped into it and can exit without losing the initial HIVE they put into it.
The demand for the token after sales finish and delegators withdraw will be the earnings themselves. The goal is to have a high-value, predictable token a person can hold onto, collect dividends, take profits on some or all if they want, and that's it.
I hope that answers all of your questions. If not, please let me know and I'll certainly try to answer them to the best of my ability. 🙂
