A bill on the regulation of cryptography was prepared in Italy:
The Ministry of Economy and Finance of Italy has drafted a bill on the regulation of cryptology.

In the bill, crypto currency is considered as a means of exchange for goods and services. However, cryptography is not necessarily considered as a means of payment, since it is not supported by government agencies,it is not issued by a central bank and that is not linked to other currencies.
Such a decision was made to compile with the European Union's rules on combating money laundering and terrorist financing.
Within 60 days the new rules announced, providers of cryptographic services are required to register in the database of agents and intermediaries. In this database it will be possible to estimate the volume of the domestic market of cryptographic and to ensure its control in accordance with the new rules.
It is expected that the new bill will come into force in early July. By February 16, the bill will be in public debate.!
