Teachers play a very important role in molding the minds of the learners in our locality.
Hello, fellow Hivers and friends! In this blog, I will share with you the activities that were undertaken last October 5, during the Teachers' Day celebration in our division with the theme: "Together4Teachers", which was held at Don Celestino Martinez Sr. Sports and Cultural Center in the City of Bogo, Cebu, Philippines.
The Division Celebration
These multi-colored blinking lights that kept flashing on the stage backdrop gave more meaning and coolness to the occasion and a feeling of happiness on the part of the teachers.
Right after the opening program and the first batch of the exciting raffle draws with a lot of generous prizes, this first group of presenters for the Teachers Got Talent amazed the audiences of the three districts. With the special participation of one school head, Sir Kuyadars, the young teacher dancers joyfully and briskly made their dance moves.
It was followed again by another abundantly giving raffle draw for each district. Several teachers had brought home with them the prizes they got.
Then, another group of presenters staged their stunning shows that made the audience's faces glow with smiles and laughter. All presenters had done their best.
The School Level
On the other hand, we celebrated the Teachers' Day in school in the afternoon of the previous day. The occasion was prepared by the Supreme Elementary Learners Government (SELG) formerly named Supreme Pupil Government (SPG). They did the hosting, the welcome remarks, and all the other activities, such as the dance presentations of the different grade levels, the games for the teachers, and the giving of gifts that they initiated themselves.
The Gifts
The school learners gave their gifts to their respective teachers. But they didn't forget to give me gifts that I didn't expect.
Heart-touching
What touched my heart during the occasion was -after I offered a surprise number when I sang the song "Until I Found You" by Stephen Sanchez, I received hand-written cards from the learners in the lower grades. For me, it doesn't matter if the grammatical construction of the lines is correct or not. The important for me was their message. I understand their heartfelt messages for me as you can see here.
After the gift-giving, the Learners Government offered a song number as their finale. It was entitled "Dream It Possible" that was originally sung by Delacey.
Then, followed by a photo opportunity that ended the activity with a smile on our faces.
