It was Friday the last working day of the week. Some where in west Africa (Nigeria). The fun was going on in school as usual even as we were all having a great time learning...
I was teaching my pupils about (elementary electrical energy).
So I said " hi kids, we are going to learn about appliances that uses electrical energy. And these includes TV sets, radio sets, pressing iron, electric kettles, electric cookers, boiling rings, and even flash lights. " I then brought out a flash light, dismantled it and removed the battery. Having seen that, then JIMOLO quickly asked "uncle, what is this?"
I replied "this is the battery, it gives the flash light power to give out light".
She then kept quiet for some minutes while I continued with the lesson.
I then asked her " JIMOLO, your attention is not here. What are you thinking? "
Then she replied "uncle you said this is the battery, it gives the flash light power to give out light right?" I Replied "yes my dear". Then she said " how big is the battery that powers the sun, and where is it located? "
Hmmmmmm....... I replied "my dear, the sun produces its light by its self. It doesn't work on batteries sweetheart"......
