What Did You Dream About Last Night?
Last night,
I dreamt that I was lost,
didn't know where to run.
Like I was in a maze,
with no way out,
death was all around.
I saw bodies, soulless, lifeless,
I wanted to run, to scream,
I wanted to escape.
I found a door—it was my escape,
but it didn’t lead anywhere.
At that moment,
I knew I was dreaming,
knew I had to wake up.
I screamed,
I cried, nothing worked,
I had to jump,
hit myself to the ground.
As I was waking up,
I felt like I was being pulled
out of the earth.
I screamed in silence,
thought it was over,
but I was wrong.
I turned around,
seeking comfort,
but I was all alone,
and the nightmare began again.
It began again because
I had nobody to hold,
no comforting voice telling me
it was just a bad dream,
that everything was alright,
that he was there,
and I was safe.
