Spread the Vibes Challenge not Challenge | Minimalistic Piano
Hello Hivers!❤️🎶
Today finally I'm responding to the invitation of @mipiano for participating on this awesome challenge created by
@edje. What is this challenge about? It's all about sharing music and sharing our impressions on the music selection we were invited to react. First of all I want to thank
@mipiano for introduce me to this activity, which is a wonderful way to get to know more music, more artists, and to be enriched and inspired by them. I think that actively listening to music makes us learn a lot, not only about music, but also about life itself. And we'll, thanks to her, now I met a composer I didn't know about before, and one of his works. Here is her music selection, played beautifully by herself:
If you are reading this, I hardly recommend you to listen to her and go to her post first, because next I'm going to share my impressions...
Just... Wow! Vasilije Mokranjac's Etude 4 is a piece that requires a lot of agility and virtuosity, not only to play the fast notes, but also to give each note its intensity and character. Even already knowing @mipiano is an excellent pianist, and knowing what I was going to listen to and watch was going to be good, that wasn't enough to stop this piece from taking my breath away as soon as she started playing it.
The precision with which she highlights the first note of each group of notes is astounding. I can see that the melody is carried by the highest notes, played with the 4th and 5th finger of the right hand, and below that, with her other fingers she is playing those other fast notes that give it fullness and resonance. I know that highlighting the melody over other notes you are playing with the same hand is not easy, but I marvel at how she makes it look like it is.
The piece, with all its changes, jumps from low to high, from soft to loud, from fast and short notes to notes that linger a little longer, its intervals of seconds (notes that are close together, played consecutively or simultaneously), I found it hypnotic and absorbing, and I loved that its harmony started in minor, but at the end, after a beautiful chromatic interplay, ends with a forceful major chord. All very playful!
Now I'm going to share with you my selection:

I chose to play again a piece composed by Alexandra Strélisl, like yesterday for my participation on the Hive Open Mic because I just discovered her work this week , and fell in love with the two pieces. I was looking for some minimalistic music to share here because I thought it would fit well, going through the previous editions of the challenge, and also I just was in the mood for listening to this kind of atmospheric music, but I had never explored playing it myself.
I woul like to invite
@alexandraflwads, who is a very talented flautist, and
@emmilee who has a beautiful voice and I now she enjoys exploring music 🎶. And I extend the invitation to all of those who read this post and also want to participate 😁
Here is the first edition of this challenge not challenge, go there if you want to know more about it and read the guidelines for join us and keep spreading the vibes ✨🎶
