(Translation at DeepL, free version, as my native language is Spanish)
These photographs remind me of a song by troubadour Silvio Rodríguez, entitled Historia de las sillas, that was written in 1969. Here, at the end of this post, I leave you the lyrics translated. If you want to read it in spanish, go to the youtube video.
As we know, today is the 13th anniversary of that day when a man named Laszlo Hanyecz -I think he was a programmer- offered, through the bitcointalk.org platform, 10,000 BTC to whoever would delivered to him two pizzas, which cost 41 USD in that moment.
At the time I am putting together this post, BTC is trading at 26,500 USD, so, if we do the math, that man (sigh) ate -literally- two hundred and sixty-five million dollars 😭 and we are in a bear market; Bitcoin almost touched 70,000 in November 2021 (more 😭 😩).
😜
We all celebrate now that first transaction. Yes, it was the first exchange of Bitcoin for a physical item. And well of course I would like to eat a pizza too. It's one of my favorite foods, pizza and spaghetti. So I will most likely do it, why not?
Are you ready to sit down? Because I'm not, even though I've done the hard work of cutting the grass.
;)
Back to the chair and the song, some people say it's bad to obsess. I believe quite the opposite, as I am of the opinion that we create our reality first in our mind. And, hey, hold on...you may not agree with my way of thinking, well, I understand that, but it´s not really that what I want to talk about, but obsessions, and I since I started my first steps in this Blockchain, at the end of September 2022, I became obsessed; I became obsessed with growing here, doing what I do, the best I can, creating.
Listen to the song, it's very nice. "He who follows a good path will have chairs, dangerous that invite him to stop," says Silvio Rodriguez and I reflect today on how many times these appeared in my path. I am not going to stop. I like (simply) the way that chair looks alone, without me. I'm behind the lens. I'm going to keep creating and dreaming at Hive.
STORY OF THE CHAIRS (Silvio Rodríguez)
On the edge of the road there is a chair,
the predator prowls that place.
The friend's jacket is stretched out,
the friend does not sit down to rest.
His shoes, worn out, are like mirrors
that burn his throat in the sun.
And through his weariness passes an old man
who dries, with the shadow, his sweat.
On the tip of love travels the friend,
on the sharpest point to be seen.
That point that digs in the ground, in the ruins, in the ruins,
or in the ruins, or in a woman's trail.
That is why he is a soldier and a lover,
that is why it is wood and metal.
That's why he sows roses just as much
that reasons of flags and arsenal.
He who has a song will have a storm,
he who has company, loneliness.
He who follows the right path will have dangerous chairs
dangerous that invite him to stop.
But the song is worth good storm,
and company is worth loneliness.
The agony of haste is always worth,
even if the truth is full of chairs.
