In Venezuela we are celebrating the Holy Days, so most offices, schools and some companies will be closed for several days. Many Venezuelans take advantage of these short vacations to stay at home and get some things done.

So yesterday I decided to go to the supermarket near my house and buy some beers. My surprise was to find an offer of dark beers, called Morena, which were 2 for 1$. And although I had not tried them before, no offer should be passed up so I took 4 of them, for a total value of 2$. Not even in heaven can you get paradise for so little!

In my city, Cumaná, the temperature is above 31°C, so I preferred to put the beers in the refrigerator and wait for them to cool down. Living in a very hot country all year round, Venezuelans prefer ice-cold beers. Not on ice or frozen, but cold.

This beer is relatively new in the market and belongs to Cervecería Regional, a brewery with a long tradition in Venezuela and one of the closest competitors of Polar.

La Morena is a Lager type beer, dark, with a touch of malt flavor, sweet, toasted and with a delicious smell. It has 5 ° of alcohol.

Its bottle is transparent and its ingredients are water, cereals, hops, carbon dioxide and malted barley.

It's normal that after a long day of work, worries and problems, you want to de-stress and steal a little happiness from life, so I see no better way to give you a bite of joy than drinking a delicious beer. And if it's on sale, the pleasure is multiplied...

So the next time you're feeling dull, listless, your batteries dead, head to the nearest liquor store or grocery store and ask around for beer specials. I'm sure the universe will start smiling pretty on you if you drink a delicious Morena beer.
