I live in a very poor neighborhood in Venezuela. My schoolmates were misbehaving children who later became delinquents. The excuse was that they were very poor and that is why they did not continue studying and stole. I lived for a long time in the same neighborhood, with the same limitations and the same poverty, but I did not see the obstacles as stones but as incentives to continue studying, to get out of poverty. There are people who sit and cry while they throw stones at you, there are others who use those stones to build a castle. I was the first in my family to graduate and with that I showed many people that not because you were born poor, you must be poor all your life. You don't decide in what conditions you are born, but you can influence how you live. A good topic for this Friday, @tarazkp
