Years ago, I read a book called We Don't Die. I don't remember who the author was, but I thought their theory on death as it applies to human beings was interesting. Some other authors and spiritualists have said some of the same things about death that I read in this book. One of those things is that the reason why human beings never die is because our energy just goes on to another place after we shed our earthly bodies.
It's been said time and time again, especially by religious people, that when we die our spirit rises out of our bodies or earthly shells and ascends to a higher level. To some people, this higher level is called heaven, to others it's just another dimension. People who have had out-of-body experiences have described what this level looked and felt like many times. They have all described it as a place of complete peace, happiness and overflowing love.
According to some people who believe in an afterlife, our spirits are just occupying a vessel until it is time for it to return to a place that is much better than what we are subjected to living in right now. I've always found that theory to be interesting, and if it turns out to be true, that would be nice.
