I won't lie, this has been incredibly difficult. Far more difficult than I had assumed when I originally had the idea to give 500 Steem away to someone. I had absolutely no idea that my post would be seen by so many, and I certainly didn't expect so many people to not only enter the giveaway, but also Resteem and nominate others.
To say I'm not feeling some immense pressure to do good and ensure people remain happy and motivated regardless of the outcome would be, well, very wrong. I quickly realised that giving one person 500 Steem after so much traction just isn't enough.
Now, I know what you're all here for, and I know you definitely don't want to continue reading little walls of text, but I'm sure some of you will be glad to hear that it doesn't end with just one person receiving 500 Steem; I'll be selecting some of you to receive matching SP delegations. While one person does win 500 Steem to power up, others will be receiving 500 Steem Power directly.
The Steem Power delegations don't have a specific duration, it entirely depends on your activity with it. If I notice you are using the SP to actively curate, it will remain. If I notice you're just selling your vote and hardly curating any content, I'll remove the delegation and choose another person from the giveaway. This addition to the giveaway means many of you can still progress here on the platform; with increased curation earnings for you and others.
