When I say that the launch of the DCU was a success, I’m referring to its reception by critics and the general public—because it received good reviews, even though it’s true that its box office performance wasn’t exactly overwhelming. I think those positive reviews raised expectations for Supergirl, and those expectations weren’t met at all because it isn’t a good movie.
As for Milly, as I said in the review, she was the best part, and I really liked her portrayal of Kara. I’m curious to see how much her character will change in Man of Tomorrow, and I truly regret that her work isn’t being recognized due to the film’s poor direction, screenplay, and planning.
Personally, with everything going on at Warner Bros. and Paramount, I think Gunn will leave after Man of Tomorrow.
