Ha finalizado el primero de los tres round o jornadas en la Eurocopa 2024 que se está disputando en suelo alemán y por los momentos puedo decir que de las seis selecciones favoritas, tres ganaron de manera correcta y las otras tres no cumplieron con las expectativas a pesar de conseguir una importante primera victoria.
En publicaciones anteriores hice referencia al buen trabajo realizado por la selección Alemana y Española, obviando el parcialmente correcto buen trabajo realizado por Italia, actual campeona, la cual el próximo jueves tendrá un gran enfrentamiento con la actual campeona de la Nations League, así que habrá tiempo para hacer referencia sobre La Azzurra, pero en esta oportunidad quiero hacer referencia al paralelismo entre selecciones a las cuales personalmente considero como las verdaderas favoritas de ser finalistas y posiblemente campeonas, me refiero a las selecciones de Inglaterra, Francia y Portugal.

The first of the three rounds of Euro 2024 being played on German soil has ended and at the moment I can say that of the six favorite teams, three won in the right way and the other three did not meet the expectations despite getting an important first victory.
In previous publications I made reference to the good work done by the German and Spanish national teams, obviating the partially correct good work done by Italy, current champion, which next Thursday will have a great confrontation with the current champion of the Nations League, so there will be time to make reference to La Azzurra, but this time I want to refer to the parallelism between teams which I personally consider as the real favorites to be finalists and possibly champions, I refer to the teams of England, France and Portugal.
En mi opinión, las tres selecciones anteriormente nombradas, derrochan una enorme calidad en los 26 jugadores que conforman cada equipo; ese puede ser otra similitud junto al ser favoritas, pero de manera inesperada, estos tres equipos no demostraron el potencial en ninguno de sus encuentros y a pesar de comenzar ganando en este importante torneo, no hay duda que las críticas realizadas por prensa, exjugadores y aficionados es más que aceptable porque ninguno practicó buen fútbol. Es inevitable que existan expectativas por ver a las estrellas que conforman estás selecciones; Bellingham, Saka, Cane, Foden, Mbappé, Griezmann, Dembélé, Thuram, Bernardo Silva, Bruno Fernandes, Rafael Leão y Cristiano Ronaldo, son parte de los jugadores que representan a sus países en este torneo y es por eso que ver a estos equipos ganar por un gol de diferencia, un autogol o ser beneficiados por un error arbitral, es más que decepcionante.
Sé que pueden pensar que el rival también juega y es cierto, cada equipo usará diferentes métodos para enfrentar a estos poderosos equipos buscando un empate o quien sabe, hasta una victoria, pero de igual manera, al contar con tanta calidad, es de esperar ver buen fútbol y lamentable eso no sucedió en ninguno de esos encuentros, posiblemente sea a causa del mal plan diseñado por el entrenador o porque los jugadores no están a la altura del momento, creo que hay mucha tranquilidad porque saben que así sea ganando por un gol, sin jugar bien, será de igual manera recompensado porque hay recordar que hasta cuatro mejores terceros, serán parte de la segunda fase y les repito o recuerdo, cada uno de estos equipos tiene la calidad para enfrentar a cualquier rival.

In my opinion, the three teams mentioned above, have an enormous quality in the 26 players that make up each team; that may be another similarity with being favorites, but unexpectedly, these three teams did not show the potential in any of their matches and despite starting winning in this important tournament, there is no doubt that the criticism made by the press, former players and fans is more than acceptable because none of them played good soccer. It is inevitable that there are expectations to see the stars that make up these teams; Bellingham, Saka, Cane, Foden, Mbappé, Griezmann, Dembélé, Thuram, Bernardo Silva, Bruno Fernandes, Rafael Leão and Cristiano Ronaldo, are part of the players representing their countries in this tournament and that is why seeing these teams win by a goal difference, an own goal or be benefited by a refereeing error, is more than disappointing.
I know you may think that the rival also plays and it is true, each team will use different methods to face these powerful teams looking for a draw or who knows, even a victory, but equally, having so much quality, it is expected to see good soccer and unfortunately that did not happen in any of these matches, possibly because of the bad plan designed by the coach or because the players are not at the height of the moment, I think there is a lot of tranquility because they know that even if they win by one goal, without playing well, will be equally rewarded because we must remember that even the four best third place teams will be part of the second phase and I repeat or remember, each of these teams has the quality to face any opponent.
Es extraño que estos equipos enfrenten este comienzo del torneo de manera pasiva y hasta descuidada y sin importar que tantas estrellas jueguen, creo que hasta son beneficiados por el factor suerte y es por eso que con poco, están a un paso de asegurar uno de los dos primeros puestos en cada uno de sus grupos, con este dejo en evidencia que las expectativas siguen intactas porque este es tan solo el primer juego y es que están obligados a mejorar y ganar en sus futuros encuentros porque enfrentan a rivales difíciles, por ejemplo Inglaterra deberá verse las caras con Dinamarca, Francia juega contra Países Bajos (Holanda) y Portugal contra Turquía; en cada uno de estos encuentros está la lucha por la primera posición en el grupo y también está la posibilidad de hasta ser parte de la lucha por ser uno de los mejores terceros.
La primera ronda dio muchas emociones, muchos goles, pocos empates, jóvenes y jugadores experimentados haciendo historia en un torneo que a pesar de la decepción de algunos juegos, creo que es un torneo sumamente emocionante y eso que es hoy miércoles en dónde comienza la segunda jornada de la Eurocopa en dónde espero que la racha goleadora siga activa, que no exista polémica arbitral y quienes se consideren favoritos, puedan demostrar su potencial en los futuros encuentros.
