El pasado fin de semana, el Liverpool FC obtuvo otra dura derrota al ser eliminado en los últimos minutos por el Brigthon por la FA Cup y que profundiza la horrible temporada que está teniendo el equipo de Jürgen Klopp.

Sé que hubo factores que afectaron el desempeño del equipo como a muchos otros, por ejemplo disputar toda la primera fase de la UCL en prácticamente dos meses, más la lesiones de jugadores en el medio campo y defensa y el mal funcionamiento en la ofensiva, ya que uno de los importantes jugadores en los títulos y finales obtenidas ya no estaba; todos esos factores no solo afectaban al equipo en la Premier League, sino que al perder contra el Napoli por un abultado marcador en la primera jornada de la Champions League, hizo que Klopp tuviera como prioridad seguir en la gran competición de clubes en Europa, pensando que pronto su equipo recupere la dinámica y motivación y que regrese a esa versión que fascinó al mundo; esa idea salvó a este equipo de una temprana eliminación en la UCL, pero mantuvo el problema de la falta de constancia en el torneo local, ya que a finales del primer mes del 2023, el Liverpool sigue siendo ese equipo desmotivado.

Para la prueba de lo dura que es la temporada en el torneo local, vemos cómo inmediatamente al regresar a la normalidad del fútbol inglés, el equipo de Klopp debería enfrentar al Manchester City de Guardiola por los octavos de final de la Carabao Cup; encuentro muy disputado y que al final termino con victoria de los ciudadanos y dejando fuera de manera rápida al campeón defensor; nuevamente el Liverpool no conseguiría ese juego que pueda impulsar y darle confianza plena a este equipo; desde esa eliminación y con la apertura del mercado de fichajes, se esperaba de que este equipo se pueda reforzar para tratar de mejorar al equipo; en lo personal pensaba en la incorporación de mediocampistas porque es la zona que en mi opinión deben mejorar mucho más, pero como dije anteriormente, las bajas en el ataque también afecta al equipo y eso fue lo que se enfocó tanto Klopp cómo la directiva y por eso ficharon a una de las sensaciones del mundial, al neerlandés Gakpo, pero eso no es suficiente porque si hay problemas para que Darwin Nuñez conecte con el equipo, con este nuevo jugador también existe lo mismo.

Con la eliminación de la FA Cup y la Carabao Cup, más lo lejos que están del liderato, el Liverpool solo queda una oportunidad para la obtención de un título en esta temporada y esa es nada más y nada menos que la Champions League; dentro de dos semanas este equipo debe enfrentarse al actual campeón y lo que considero la bestia negra para el equipo de Klopp; en mi opinión existe un alto porcentaje de que los rojos queden eliminados en octavos de final aunque esto es fútbol y cualquiera cosa puede suceder, pero es que al ver el mal momento que está pasando este equipo me hace pensar que está eliminatoria llega en el peor momento. Estoy convencido de que tanto Klopp cómo la directiva de ese club se equivocaron a no ir poco a poco evolucionado o rejuveneciendo al equipo y ese trabajo debió suceder al final de la temporada que consiguieron el título de la Premier League, pero creo que justamente eso y la buena temporada, pero con duras derrotas fue lo que hizo que este equipo demuestre esa involución creada por la falta de motivación. Como dije, habrá que esperar a que sucede en esa eliminatoria contra el Real Madrid y sé que si el Liverpool cae eliminado, su único objetivo será estar de una manera u otra entre los seis primero puestos en la Premier League para competir, sea en la UCL o UEL.
