It's amazing how fast it's been three years since the death of Chris Cornell, although he is related as the singer and leader of Soundgarden, I could witness the different facets he had as a singer and writer, I know I wasn't a big fan of some of his projects, but I always respected that the criticisms didn't stop him from trying not to feel fit in a single facet, but in the end his last moments were spent with the band where he could get many followers and friends.

In this publication I want to make a small tribute to this unique singer, Chris, not only must he be remembered as another Grunge singer who took his own life, Chris belongs to a group of musicians with a unique voice that cannot be replaced or copied, because as it says part of the lyrics of "Black Hole Sun"..."No one sings like you anymore ".

Soundgarden - Black Hole Sun

Although today I make this publication remembering this sad date for the many followers of Cornell and that I don't want to relate it with the suicide, I could discover Soundgarden in the just moment after the death of Kurt Cobain, this band that had a lot of time in the Grunge movement and had up to three albums in the market, got a world-wide fame thanks to the song "Black Hole Sun" from the album "Superunknown " that was released on March 8th, 94', I hadn't heard anything and I can just consider this song an anti-voice by Chris, it's a slow song with a lot of melody and slow rhythm and even though the guitar riff increases in the chorus, that doesn't mean that his voice increased or the drum and bass rhythm did too, I think this made a big impact on me and of course I always saw it as the last band in the Grunge movement and I always thought that in the end both Chris and Soundgarden never wanted to be "The New Nirvana".

Temple of the Dog - Say Hello 2 Heaven

From that moment on I was able to follow the career of Cornell, the next album of Soundgarden, "Down on the Upside", I have always believed that this is where his voice is the great protagonist along with his lyrics, but not only this album, I was able to listen to one of his great projects such as Temple of the Dog, made up of members of Pearl Jam and Soundgarden, but the best thing was to hear the voices of Eddie Vedder and Cronell, then to hear him be the singer of Audioslave band formed by the members of Rage Against the Machine, all these songs take strength and importance thanks to his voice because I always believed that with another singer he wouldn't have that impact as he has with Chris.

"Seasons & The Day I Tried to Live"

When Kurt passed away, I didn't feel as much sadness as Cornell, I think it compares to the death of Layne Staley, this is because the age I was when I heard about Cobain's death, I was only driven by the opinion of others that drugs drove him crazy, Nothing is far from the truth, but we never asked ourselves the truth about why they took these drugs and why they lived in such a depressed state that they used their issues as a cry for help, but in the end they did not want or accept the help. Chris Cornell lived longer than the two artists mentioned above, he gave us a lot of music to remember him by and I never accepted the form of his departure, it makes me sad to be unique and every time I see tributes or the many videos of his performances I always think there will be no one like him.
