And the result is impressive!
After the giant city on Minecraft that needed 400 people and 9 years of development, a new impressive construction showed up. In particular, a player of the popular game made ...Chernobyl. Yeap, you read that right. Janisko, as he is called, spent two whole years building Chernobyl in Mojang's game.
The map is called "Chernobyl Universe" and is suppose to be played in survival mode, but also made to represent the "dead" zone of April 26. However, as Janisko announced, he will make other maps that will be based on the STALKER series and specifically in Dead City.
The next quote was taken from Planet Minecraft .
I am going to build both Chernobyl and other southernmost areas of the zone, as well as the Belarusian part and even the city of Poliske. When building this very large map, I proceed with as much data as possible, which I draw mainly from the Internet, such as Google Maps and other useful things. Of course, not all information can be obtained from the Internet, but unfortunately I do not have other conveniences of data acquisition. This means that I have to build a little interior improvisation and designation of some buildings or layout some areas I simply have to think.
