A cat that trusts no one [Eng/Esp]

There are many cats that can be very affectionate on the streets, but others that are undoubtedly very wary of how close you get to them before they run away. Obviously, the latter are not very affectionate; in fact, I would say that they are more fearful than anything else. As proof of this, I am sharing some photos I took of a neighbor's cat that lives a few houses away from mine. I hope you enjoy the photos.

Hay muchos gatos que pueden ser muy cariñosos en las calles, pero otros que sin duda pueden estar muy pendientes de cuánto te acercas para ellos alejarse; evidentemente, estos últimos no son muy cariñosos; es más, podría asegurar que son más asustadizos que nada y, como prueba de ello, les comparto algunas fotografías que le hice a un gato vecino que vive a unas pocas casas de la mía. Espero que disfruten de las fotografías.

This skittish cat is called Tom; I often see him at his house. He usually goes out from time to time, but I think he feels safer staying on the porch of his house. I've noticed a big increase in cats where I live; there used to be a lot of dogs, but it's nice to see these cute cats going about their business without worrying about the dogs at all, which makes you see them more normally and this certainly gives me an advantage when taking pictures of them when they're not scared.

Este gato asustadizo se llama Tom; es un gato que veo mucho en su casa, suele salir de vez en cuando, pero creo que se siente más seguro estando en el porche de su casa. He notado un gran auge de gatos en donde vivo; antes había muchos perros, pero es lindo ver a estos lindos gatos ir de un lado a otro sin preocuparse del todo por los perros, lo cual hace que los veas con más normalidad y esto sin duda me da alguna ventaja para hacerles fotografías cuando no se asustan.

For these photographs, I had to develop them in a way that gave Tom more prominence, as well as reframing some of the photographs, since I did what I could quickly at the time because I knew that Tom could leave at any moment. And you can see how attentive he was at all times; whenever he heard a sound, he would look in that direction, which also helped me to get a decent focus.

Para estas fotografías tuve que hacer un revelado que le diera más protagonismo a Tom, además de reencuadrar algunas fotografías, ya que hice lo que pude en el momento de forma rápida porque sabía que Tom en cualquier momento podría irse. Y se aprecia el cómo estuvo atento en todo momento; ante cualquier sonido que escuchaba, dirigía su mirada hacia ello, lo cual me ayudó también a hacer un enfoque decente.
