🕊️ Farewell, Little Brother — You’ll Forever Be in Our Hearts
Today was supposed to be Eid — a day of joy, smiles, and celebration. But instead, it feels like time has frozen. Our hearts are heavy, and our home is filled with sorrow.
Yesterday, we lost someone very precious — my wife’s younger brother, a 12 to 13-year-old boy who brought light and innocence into our lives. He was a special child, differently-abled, and could only speak a few words. But he had the purest soul and the brightest smile that could melt anyone’s heart.
He went for a bath — something so ordinary, so harmless — but never came back. He drowned in the water, despite knowing how to swim. We still can’t believe it. It feels like he’ll walk through the door any moment now, or tug at someone’s hand to get attention, just like he always did.
This Eid, there is no joy in our home. The festive spirit has been replaced by silence, tears, and the absence of a beloved child who meant the world to us.
Dear brother, may you find peace in the next life. We’ll never forget you. This Eid will always carry your memory, your smile, and your empty place at home.
