I played my flute while walking my horse along the beach before discovering a Mongol outpost at the Destroyed Shipyard. Tasks included freeing falcons, slaying the general, and collecting banners. I quietly assassinated an archer, stopped a guard from sounding a war horn, and took down an entrance spearman.
Walking my horse along the quiet shoreline while playing a peaceful melody on my flute, the tranquil seaside air provided a rare moment of calm amid the ongoing invasion.
However, the serene atmosphere was quickly interrupted when I spotted an undiscovered location sitting along the rocky coast ahead. Approaching the perimeter through the coastal grass, I identified the territory as a major Mongol war camp set up at the Destroyed Shipyard.
A quick survey of the area objectives revealed a heavy list of tasks: I needed to release three captive falcons, eliminate the war camp's general, recover four stolen Sashimono banners, and execute three staggered enemies (bonus) during combat to completely liberate the location.
The Mongols had not simply pitched tents on the sand; they had taken full control of the entire abandoned shipyard structure and anchored a massive warship directly against the shore to supply their troops.
Knowing I was going up against a large, organized garrison rather than a small patrol, I stayed low to avoid detection. A few Mongol guards were already on high alert, scanning the surrounding dunes and keeping a vigilant watch over the perimeter.
I noticed an archer positioned on an elevated wooden lookout point overlooking the warship, while a heavy spearman maintained a steady patrol back and forth across the main entrance to the camp.
Creeping up behind the elevated platform while the archer's back was turned toward the water, I drew my blade and executed a swift, silent assassination, dropping his body onto the wooden planks.
A nearby patrol caught sight of the fallen lookout from below. Realizing the intrusion, the Mongol reached for his war horn to sound the alarm and summon the entire camp to his position.
After close the gap, I lunged forward and struck him down a fraction of a second before he could raise the horn to his lips, keeping the rest of the outpost completely unaware of my presence.
With the immediate threat neutralized and the alarm successfully averted, I slipped back down to ground level and turned my attention toward the spearman guarding the front gate.
Stalking quietly behind him as he turned at the end of his patrol route, I closed the remaining distance, drove my blade through his armor, and assassinated him quietly which cleared the entrance of the camp.
