Holding a watchtower, I eliminated a Mongol leader and incoming reinforcements before clearing the remaining guards, and used an explosive arrow on an archer. As dawn broke over Furuta Village, I defeated the final Mongol, liberated the territory, and spoke with a local monk before heading out.
I climbed a watchtower to secure the upper ground, but a Mongol leader climbed up after me to initiate a duel right on the platform. Reinforcements followed close behind, forcing me to hold the ladder point and strike them as they reached the top.
I maintained a relentless assault on the Mongol leader, parrying his strikes and taking him down quickly before turning my blade on the remaining guards.
With the tower clear, I descended to eliminate a few wandering foot soldiers on the main courtyard below.
After scanning the perimeter, I climbed back up the watchtower to deliver a swift final blow to a wounded Mongol who was still clinging to life.
Knowing the territory was not fully secured, I continued searching the village paths and encountered another squad of Mongols. I charged in without hesitation, took them down while a group of peasant fled to safety.
Looking toward the outer defense perimeter, I spotted two archers posted on two towers. I climbed the first tower, snuck up behind the sentry, and executed a silent assassination.
Aiming at the second post, I notched an explosive arrow and fired to take down the second archer instantly.
Despite clearing both towers, the location objective remained active, indicating more enemies were active within the area.
I patrolled the village paths as the first rays of dawn broke across the sky, realizing I spent the entire night battling through the forest and fighting off the Mongols
I located the final Mongol guard who was guarding a side without having any idea what happened to his entire rew, and brought him down immediately, and completed the location objective liberating Furuta Village.
The area bore heavy signs of cruelty, with multiple peasants tortured and killed before my arrival.
I approached a local monk who wished to speak with me. He quoted his former master Saigyo, noting that to cleanse the spirit, one must first cleanse the body, a wisdom Jin quietly acknowledged.
Observing my location on the map, I realized I was right beside Komatsu Lighthouse, the destination I originally considered fast-traveling to. At last, I decided to leave this side of the map behind to tackle my next objectives.
