Hello everyone today I'm going to talk my opinion about "Who Framed Roger Rabbit". One big complaint I have with the movie is the animation. Who Framed Roger Rabbit looks super ahead for the late 80s, and it definitely shows. While watching it, you can see the raw talent from the animators, most notably in the Ink & Paint Club scene. The way they managed to intermix the mediums of cel animations and filmed footage is just the chef's kiss.
Chip 'n Dale just feels like the animators waiting for a paycheck. The animation itself just feels rushed, or like it's missing frames. It's not even this movie tok, Space Jam 2 carries the same issue with the 2D segments, and while I do commened the many mediums used, like stop-motion, but it's CGI, which isn't nearly as impressive, at least in my opinion. Chip or Dale, whatever one had the 2D look, including supporting characters, really bothered me for a while.
I'll give myself time to breathe, but that's one of my big complaints, aside from the use of references, the average story, character cameos, and what not. I don't see why both that and Lightyear have the same rating on Letterboxd, at least Lightyear was watchable and the story slightly engaged me, even though it felt like it was generated with an AI.
