Today I finally had a quiet day at home to get things done!

Even more so, it was a chance to have a good think and just take it easy. There is one time when the thoughts and issues of the day can be clarified - that is while washing the dishes or spacing out over the ironing. I don't even like ironing - but once you get started it's an activity you can space out to (works beautifully with music) and all of life's issues gain focus.

At the moment, I would love to have some amazing, disturbing issues to discuss with you that I have been mentally chewing on. Fortunately (and unfortunately for Steemit) that is not the case. There are a couple of little issues involving my Little Man as he marches along with his journey on the Spectrum, otherwise I have a calm and happy mojo that is devoid of angst. I like it that way.
Approximately a year ago at work, I was studying and working to take on more responsibility. By standing back and taking a good look at myself (probably while I was doing the ironing), I realized that achieving those goals was not so important anymore. I stood back and became one of the happy staff on the Emergency Department floor - no extra responsibility. A bit of simplicity and clarity helps me to focus on my family - they're much more important.
If Donald Trump took the time to wash dishes in a restaurant (or if he even just took the time to iron his own shirts lol) I believe he might just get a bit of commonsense and clarity to his decision-making process. That bit of focus can help a person to zoom in on what's important. Then keep things simple: letting go of the extra stressful goals and jobs gave me a chance to just be happy. Even if I have to iron the shirts...
