Lauren felt like she was about to start crying, and in her room, her daughter Marnie was loudly balling her eyes out.
It was all because of the Frozen Party.
Lauren hadn't organized friends to come over for Marnie's birthday. Marnie was a Frozen addict - she wanted to be Elsa. She wanted to dance and be the pretty girl - which was fine - she's only turning five.
She also wanted a Frozen cake - but no matter how hard she tried - Lauren had been frosting a couple of cakes but couldn't get the Frozen frosting right.
It was going to be a boring chocolate cake with chocolate frosting.
I was going to be the worst birthday ever.
A knock came to the door:
"Come on misery Guts - open up. It's me!!"
Lauren's best friend Louise was there with a big blue box.
I found a Frozen cake down the street in a cake shop - your misery days are now over.
A smile started to form as Louise's son Max also came through the door.
Lauren whispered - "sneak it in onto the table and put some of the other food out".
She phone a friend of Marnie's from down the street who was up the road in 5 minutes.
"Come out of your room Marnie.."
"Don't want to!!"
"You will when you see what's here"
A puffy face appeared from around the door - facing friends and the most lovely Frozen cake.
She squealed "Oh thank you - I love it."
Later on that afternoon you know the words that resonated around the house...
"Let it go, Let it Go..."
