Hello Hive,

Paneer tikka masala is one of the popular dish out there in India. And it has managed to make a lot out of the noise in the recipe world because british people claim it to be their own. Considering tikka is hindi and urdu word and so does the recipe process. You can guess that most of the immigrants stole the original recipe from india and now termed it as british under their pakistani resto and bars.

So here's the recipe for the paneer tikka masala. Before that check out the final output.

Ingredients

  1. Sliced paneer cubes
  2. grated cheese
  3. grated onions
  4. sliced ginger paste
  5. kasuri methi
  6. coriander powder
  7. Butter
  8. Chilly Powder
  9. Almond powder
  10. tomato puree
  11. black pepper
  12. 1/2 cup cream

Method

  1. Marinate the curd with the ginger, chilly powder and garlic paste along with the onion. Keep it in the fridge for few hours.
  2. Then grill the paneer pieces through microwave or through any other means.
  3. Now after the paneer cubes are taken out of the grill make sure to mix it with marinated mixture.
  4. Take a pan and add the olive oil into the same and then add the onion, ginger and the other masala for saute.
  5. After 5 minutes add the tomato puree into the mixture. And then mix the same with the cup of cream. Let the mixture cook for 10 minutes.
  6. Now add the panneer cubes and the marinated mixture into the pan. Make sure to let it cook for next 15 minutes.
  7. Add the kasuri methi, black peepper on the top and let it mix with rest of mixture before cooling down the gas.

Make sure to garnish with the coriander and the lemon for the side. Also do note that you can also add the cheese on the top of the mixture. When you are serving it some people also keep the peri peri type masala on the side as it can add the taste even more as well. Do note that this dish tastes a lot better when you are serving it with the laccha or naan.
