Today, I helped weed out the grass from my aunt's garden to prepare for planting. I think we'll be planting eggplants or okra, maybe both :) Though, we haven't done much since it rained.
Since we've been pulling out grass, huge and small earthworms came out of hiding. These friends enrich the soil with their excrements; they also break the soil, creating tunnels underneath that allows water and air to nourish the plant from the roots.
I also met this tiny froglet (redundant? hehe, because he's so small) in the garden. See if you can find him.
Last but not the least, I saw this street cat. I think he just wanted to be shielded from the rain and get warmth from the motorcycle engine.
I was taking his picture and he was cautious, but luckily I know a few tricks of my own. "Slow blinking", the language of cats, I learned this from Jackson Galaxy. In a safe distance (if it's a stray), make eye contact with the cat, slowly blink your eyes repeatedly. In the wild, you approaching them, is a threat. By closing your eyes, it signals that you mean no harm. Who would close their eyes in the middle of a fight?
Then, he became comfortable, turning his back, focusing on something else, I'm no longer a threat, yey! So I took more pictures XD
