This is my post for #freewriters Wednesday prompt dry mouth hosted by @mariannewest
No fishing today because we were out of bait. My husband put his boat overboard and run the pigfish traps. They caught good, he got 480 bait. We have holding pens that we put them in until we use them. Every day we feed them one or two blue crabs depending on how many are in the holder.
I woke this morning with one of the worst cases of dry mouth. I was glad that my husband had already left because I do not think I could say anything. I took a swallow of water and that helped. Maybe I am getting dehydrated. After having my coffee and waiting on 9 o'clock to get here, I drove to the fish house and when I got there they had the entire parking lot filled with vats that they were filling with ice.
I sat there waiting until one of the workers brought a forklift over to my truck and got the cooler of fish. We did not catch much yesterday, only 48 pounds.
When I got back home, I only did yard work. My husband was telling me about a black and yellow grasshopper carcass he saw and said he wondered if they shed as snakes or crabs do. Today I found one just like he told me about. I guess they do shed.
