This is my post for #freewriters Saturday prompt heavy hosted by @mariannewest
This morning we went to the fish house to weigh the sailcats that my husband caught, he had 142 pounds. He made 71 dollars before expenses.
When we got home, I spent the rest of the morning pulling weeds. We have a plant that is growing in our yard, it is taking over everything. It is called wedelia, it is a ground cover and very invasive.
I decided to put my go-pro by the bird feeder and tape the cardinals. The top picture is a female cardinal, she landed with the yellow thing in her mouth then picked up a white seed to go with it and flew off. I am wondering if she has babies to feed.
The red one is the male. Isn't it amazing that the males are always the prettiest, this is true in many species if not all. I wonder if these two are a pair.
Later in the afternoon, the guy that came yesterday came to get the areca palms. After measuring for them he only wanted 8. He asked my husband if we could follow him to his house and unload them for him, he said he has a hernia.
My husband is not supposed to lift anything heavy either because of his hernias. So I carried them to the truck and my husband helped me lift them. The man tried to give me 20 dollars for carrying them, I did not want to take it so he forced it in my hand. I reached out and stuck it in his belt and told him it was like sticking money in a male stripper's thong. I think I shocked him because he kept it. Once at this guy's house he had a wheel barrel so I did not need to carry them to his backyard.
After we got all the plants unloaded at his house, he told my husband that he was going to pay us 30 each for them instead of the 25 that we want. My husband told him no but it fell on deaf ears. He gave my husband 240 dollars, he said the 40 was 20 each for us helping him. It must be nice to have so much money that you argue about something being too cheap and want to pay more. You should have seen the wad of money that he pulled out of his pocket when he paid my husband, twenties and hundreds about 3 inches thick.
