Splinterlands made a huge announcement two days ago. The team will develop a brand new soccer game on the Hive blockchain, the biggest sport in the world! MLS isn't as popular as European football but it will attract a lot of new users both to Hive and Splinterlands alike.
The most interesting part is that everyone staking SPS will receive an airdrop of the new game(s) tokens. If 30% APR wasn't enough to motivate you to stake your SPS I'm sure this is!
I'm very excited to see such an experienced team taking a crack at making an interesting and enjoyable soccer game for Hive. I love playing Rabona but the developers aren't doing anything to improve the game, it has been at a standstill for a long time. I'm sure every Rabona player will migrate to the new Genesis League Soccer game.
Like most players, I was planning on unstaking some of my tokens for the upcoming Rift Watchers pre-sale. With this recent announcement, I'm not so sure if I should be diminishing my SPS stake when a new airdrop is coming soon.
Well, the only logical solution is to buy SPS from the market once the pre-sale starts.
