Hey, your perspective and the rich use of metaphor is just awesome. I find myself always going through your post again and again, your works are among those that inspire me to keep writing and keep getting better.

Now on to your perspective, I can totally relate to the fact that an experience with say pain, trauma leads to one developing a wall, or that illusion in the hopes of keeping such a pain out in the future. I think that when it happens we are not usually conscious that we are actually creating a fence but rather we are conscious of the fact that we are protecting ourselves. And then we grow up, with the fence and somehow it gets higher and higher instead of weaker and weaker, eventually crumbling down to nothing. I think it grows high and high since our reality or rather new normal is created when the fence is put up, and somehow we forget how it was to be without the walls.

It would be great having someone come to our gardens, get to learn about every flower, get to learn about the whole maze and make a sense of it all somehow, but I think some gardens we've built for ourselves are too complex to be comprehended by just anyone, probably there is someone who eventually will, but since we can essentially feel intuitively that someone can fully comprehend what it really means to be us, it is easier to keep people out.

My last point, I think fences and complex mazes we've created in our gardens also have a role in our ability to create different forms of art. I don't think I would love to be a creator without the darkness or rather the feeling of being lost in a dark abyss without a sense of direction whatsoever. Without the darkness I would be just like the masses, too normal to desire creating or expressing what agonizes us.

But still always looking forward to reading your musings.
