I'm appealing to the Steemit community to help end corruption in the US. According to Transparency International, in 2015, the US ranks 16 in the world for corruption. The least corrupt country ranked is Denmark, at number 1. The US is behind most first-world nations. :(
We can do better! The Represent Us campaign offers the most comprehensive plan, at least that I've seen, to accomplish this. Its video is pretty nifty.
Their strategy to fight state by state may sound grueling, but remember that's how the campaign for de-segregation began. The Civil Rights activists didn't have to actually successfully de-segregate every state in the Union before enough popular support pressured the federal courts and government to implement equal protection across the land.
