For some time, I've been one to write a thousand words just to make a point. This could be a thing for people making research or making a deep dive into a topic. But later I realized the way we write and construct words are different from one another, so I stopped.
While many people here on Hive like to emphasize on writing long words post, they themselves find it challenging to read something long and comment on it. But it brings them joy when they see people who do it.
It was fun for a while, but for someone like me who doesn't make any research and just pen my thoughts based on my views and observations about life, events and happenings, it's best to keep it short and concise because that way people would be able to read and asses what was written and either correct me, encourage me or criticize me.
All the above is accepted with gratitude, of course, as that would help me grow. The thing with many people here on Hive who hate criticism is that they forget that we are all here to learn.
Life is about learning, and you die the moment you stop learning. So what's a little criticism when It's going to help you learn.
Not that I have been criticized in any way, but there are some who have not had a fair share of criticism and have been mad about it due to how they think themselves to be perfect.
There is a lot to learn here on Hive ranging from the content to the people and I always feel like this is a learning phase for me personally as even those who have been here from the genesis days are also still learning so why won't anyone just starting try to go through that beginners phase before moving to expert level where you can easily cough up thousands of words everyday just like the Ogs.
Not that there is anything wrong with writing lengthy words, but if you're doing it just because the older folks are doing it, then you're doing it wrong and sure don't have a purpose for writing.
One thing I've learned about myself recently is that time is not on anyone's side, so why would you want to waste anyone's time because of proving a point you could've proven in 2 minutes to exaggerate it for 6?
Sometimes making it simple is the sure way to keep going steady without having a burnout or fall of the wagon of words.
But what do i know... I'm just learning and talking about them on the go. We'll see what happens years from now.
Thanks for stopping by
