  • It is made up of rock and minerals materials
  • It represents 30% of the earth surface
  • It forms the land mass which is labour 10-50 km
  • The outermost layer of the land mass is made up of loose rock materials like gravel sand and soil.

IMPORTANT OF LITHOSPHERE TO MAN

  • All minerals resources are derived from the lithosphere
  • It aid transportation through construction of roads, railways, airport, etc.
  • All farming activities are carried out on the lithosphere
