Millones de seres humanos han trabajado para crear está civilización que hoy nos enorgullecemos. Otros millones de personas, diseminado por todo los lugares del Globo, trabajan para conservarla. Sin su esfuerzo se hundiria pronto y no quedaría más que escombros al cabo de cincuenta años.
Millares de inventores, conocidos y desconocidos, algunos muertos en la miseria, han preparado la inversión de cada una de esas máquinas en la cuáles el hombre admira el genio.
Cantidades de escritores, de poetas, de sabios, han trabajado para elaborar el saber, para disipar el error, para crear esa atmósfera de pensamiento científico sin la cual no Hubiera podido aparecer ningúna de las maravillas de nuestro siglo.
Los que han impulsado con sus creaciones magnífica nuestra civilización son personas de la industria, de la técnica y de la ciencia.
Los nuevos inventos Es una síntesis, resultado de muchas otras invenciones anteriores en el inmenso campo de la industria y de la técnicas.

Thousands of inventors, known and unknown, some dead in misery, have prepared the investment of each of those machines in which man admires genius. Lots of writers, poets, and scholars have worked to elaborate knowledge, to dispel error, to create that atmosphere of scientific thought without which none of the wonders of our century could have appeared. Those who have promoted our civilization with their magnificent creations are people from industry, technology and science. The new inventions It is a synthesis, the result of many other previous inventions in the immense field of industry and technology.
