Castles are considered as center of power. Ireland is famous for its castles. One of the famous castle is Askeaton Castle built in fourteenth century. It is located in Askeaton, County Limerick.
The end of the hall is marked by arcades and is highly decorated.The portion of the castle which is in River Deel, has a raised central platform and makes an inner ward for the castle. The first-floor hall lies in the outer ward.
There is so called Desmond Tower which is actually a principal building of the inner ward. There are also remains of three large rooms in the south. This tower was the dwelling place of the Kings of Munster.
