This will be the first poetry I am posting on steemit, and coincidentally it is my first contest participation because it will be entered in the Move Me poetry contest by zen-art@zen-art.

Here is the link to the contest of you feel like a challenge.

I wrote this poem quite a long time ago on one of those cold nights when I let my fantasies run. I didn't have anyone I was seeing as at that time, so I it was all about me dreaming of what could be.
As you may guess I was far away from the city when I wrote this.

Here it is, I hope you like it!

Valentine At The Hamlet

At night I would set two stools by the stream
Between them would be a little table
On which love feast will be atop
The shimmering glow of the stream by us
Would accentuate your moonlit face
Chirp of insects and croak of frogs
Would come out as melodious love songs
While the wind will remain ever so gentle
With its cool soothing effect
Should our candles burn out
We'd have fireflies take their place
With a heart filled with love
I'd sit... Sit and wait for my love
And when you come
Our night of love begins
