Lust is a powerful impulse of desire to do something that is not good. Unlike other creatures of God, man is created with two potential desires, namely the desire to be good together (piety) and desire to be together bad (lust). Therefore, either piety or lust, there is a nature that is in every human being. But to achieve glory as a human, we are required to be able to suppress the potential of lust and develop the potential of piety.
Man is always faced with good and bad choices as a test of Allah SWT. If the lust is left out of control, then the noble created human figure can become violent. On the contrary in the Qur'an, people like this are worse than animals. Conversely, if the lust is managed and well controlled, it will be born a human figure of noble character.
It is not easy to resist a very strong impulse. It is no wonder then that after the Messenger of Allah's victory over the battle of Badr, he conveyed to their friends who have just won from small warfare and will fight a bigger war, the war against lust. Because victory against lust will keep us clean from the filth of sin.
