Havana, Before I Forget./ Monomad Challenge [Eng/Esp]

Greetings, friends.
A few days ago, I was talking with my friend, historian Ciro Bianchi. His work dedicated to the history of Havana is truly admirable. During our conversation, he told me that he was working on a book titled Havana, Before I Forget.

Hace algunos días estuve conversando con mi amigo, el historiador Ciro Bianchi. Su trabajo dedicado a la historia de La Habana es realmente admirable. Durante la conversación me comentó que estaba trabajando en un libro titulado La Habana, antes que se me olvide.

I must admit that title stayed on my mind for several days. In a way, it made me reflect on the photographs I usually take around the city.

Confieso que ese título se quedó dando vueltas en mi cabeza durante varios días. De alguna manera me hizo pensar en las fotografías que suelo hacer de la ciudad.

Perhaps, without even realizing it, many of them are born from the same need: to preserve moments and everyday scenes before time transforms them or erases them from our memory.

Quizás, sin proponérmelo, muchas de ellas nacen de la misma necesidad: guardar instantes, escenas cotidianas antes de que el tiempo las transforme o las borre de nuestra memoria.

That is why today I would like to share some recent images of Havana, its streets, and the people who bring them to life every day.

Por eso hoy quiero compartir algunas imágenes recientes de La Habana, de sus calles y de la gente que les da vida cada día.
