Hello Ecency Family,My name is Muhammad Aftab and I am writing this post from Lahore, Pakistan. Many people know Lahore for history and good food. But right now in July, Lahore is having heavy monsoon rains.I am watching the rain outside right now. In Pakistan, July rains are very special because they change the hot summer weather into cool breeze.
People here enjoy this weather by eating local snacks like pakoras. For me, this rain is a partner in my daily hard work.I work in clothing sales here in Lahore. My whole day goes into managing clothes, talking to different customers, and standing on my feet. Doing a sales job when it rains heavily in the city is very tough. Roads get full of water and traveling becomes difficult.
But still, when I step out in the fresh air after a long day of work, it feels very good. There is a bigger story behind my life in Lahore. I live alone in a small rented quarter here. My full family lives in Karachi, which is a big city very far from here. In countries like USA or UK, young people move to places like New York or California for work.
My life is just like that. I left my comfortable home and came to Lahore for two big dreams. I want to support my family and I want to make my own house one day.Living alone away from family teaches you many things. When I come back to my empty room after a hard job, it feels very lonely. I miss eating dinner with my family.
But when I feel sad, I remember my goals. I am not afraid of hard work because every struggle will help me build my house.I am a new beginner on Ecency. I learned that you do not need a rich life to connect with people. Real connection comes when we share our real life stories. This is my first post here. I will use this blog to share my real life as a worker, my experiences of living alone, and small happy moments like Lahore rains.
Roads get flooded, commutes become longer, and you have to keep moving forward no matter how wet the weather gets. Yet, there is a distinct joy in stepping out into the fresh, rain-washed air after a long day of hard work. But behind my daily life in Lahore, there is a bigger story. I actually live alone in a small rented quarter here. My entire family is based in Karachi, which is Pakistan’s largest coastal city, located hundreds of miles away.
In Western countries like the US or UK, it is quite common for young people to move to different states like New York or California for work. My situation is very similar. I moved away from the comfort of my family home to this bustling city for two very specific dreams: to support my family back home and to eventually build a house of my own.Living away from your loved ones teaches you a lot about resilience.
When you come back to an empty room after a tiring shift, the silence can be tough. You miss the noise of a shared family dinner and the comfort of having your people around you. But every time I feel a bit homesick, I remind myself of my goals. Hard work does not scare me because I know every single drop of sweat is a brick toward building my own home one day.Being a beginner on Web3 platforms like Ecency, I realized that I do not need a fancy laptop or a luxury lifestyle to connect with people worldwide.
True connection comes from sharing our real, unedited human experiences. Whether you are working a corporate job in London or selling clothes in the rainy streets of Lahore, the human desire to work hard for our families is exactly the same. This is my starting point on this platform.
I want to use my blog to share the honest realities of a working-class life, the lessons I learn while living alone, and the small moments of joy, like enjoying the July rains after a busy day at work.Thank you so much for taking the time to read my story. I look forward to connecting with creators from all over the world, learning from your journeys, and sharing more of mine.
How is the weather in your part of the world today? I would love to hear your thoughts in the comments below
