Going Back Home After Two Years: My 19-Hour Journey from Lahore to Karachi😍
The heavy monsoon rains in Lahore suddenly stopped my busy routine at the clothing market. Because of the flooded streets, the market became very slow for a few days. I thought this is the perfect time to do something big. I packed my small bag and decided to go back to Karachi to see my family. It had been two long years since I last saw them, and I was missing them every single day.
My journey started in the evening. I went to the bus terminal and bought a ticket from Lahore to Karachi for 7,000 Pakistani Rupees. After buying some water and chips for the way, I sat on my seat. The bus drive took 19 long hours. It is very hard to travel on a bus for almost a whole day, and because of the jumps on the road, I could not sleep at all. But my body tiredness was nothing because my heart was full of excitement.
When the bus finally reached Karachi and I saw my own city, tears came into my eyesThe moment I entered my house, all the stress of my tough sales job in Lahore just vanished. Seeing my family happy was the best feeling in the world. My mother started crying with joy when she saw me after two years. She hugged me tightly for a long time and kissed my forehead to give me her blessings. My mother already knew what I love, so she cooked all my favorite home dishes.
In Lahore, I live alone in a small room and I have to eat heavy, oily hotel food every day, which I really dislike. Eating fresh food from my mother’s hands felt like heaven. After eating till my stomach was full, I went to sleep because I was awake for 19 hours. In the evening, I woke up with the smell of hot tea. My whole family sat together, drank tea, and talked about everything that happened in these two years. At night, we all went to a nearby park for a walk. Seeing the green trees and walking under the open sky gave a lot of peace to my mind. A funny thing happened there.
I suddenly met some of my old college friends in the same park. We sat together, drank cold drinks, laughed about our old school days, and promised to meet again. The next morning, I went to the roof of my house to enjoy the fresh air. We have chickens and a cute parrot on our roof. I spent my morning giving them seeds and clean water. I really missed these small things while working all day in Lahore.Later, I took my family to the Sea View beach in Karachi.

The cool ocean breeze and the sound of waves felt so amazing. Lahore is far from the sea, so this was a great change for me. We took many beautiful photos together, and I am sharing one photo here with my Ecency friends. In Lahore, my mind is always full of tension about customers, sales targets, and standing on my feet all day. But this short trip to Karachi with my family and old friends completely refreshed my mind.

I want to give one small advice to all my hard-working friends on Ecency. No matter how busy you are with your job or business, please take some time out for your parents and family. The love of family is the best medicine for your tired mind. It gives you new energy to work hard again. Are you also planning to visit your family in the next holidays?
