Ich bin ein großer Freund der süßen Knolle, lebe dazu noch in einer Gegend in der der Anbau dieser weit verbreitet ist und deren besondere Qualität sich weit über die Landesgrenzen herumgesprochen hat. Ja sogar mit einem drei tägigen Festival, wird der weltbesten Süßkartoffel, wie man hier behauptet, im Örtchen Aljezur jedes Jahr gehuldigt.
Mit genau diesen Kartoffeln wirbt auch das 6,5%Vol/Alc haltige Tuber Bier.

Huch ist das dunkel, damit hatte ich nicht gerechnet und eine stabile Schaumkrone schaut auch anders aus. Dafür prickelt es doch aber ganz ansehnlich im Glas und lässt darauf schließen das sich genug Kohlensäure gebildet hat, was leider nicht immer klappt. Bei meinen eigenen Brauexperimenten, war die Bildung natürlicher Kohlensäure stets das Hauptproblem.

Nicht schlecht, erinnert ein bisschen an ein Porter Bier.
Zwar reist mich die Mischung aus Süße, Bitterness und Malz nicht wirklich vom Hocker, tritt doch der hohe Alkoholgehalt geschmacklich zu sehr in den Vordergrund, aber zu meckern gibt es eigentlich nichts.
Für meinen Geschmack ist das Bier zwar zu gewaltig und nach einer Flasche ist man satt, aber für den Genießer, der sich mit einer Flasche zufrieden gibt, ganz sicher ein interessanter Ausflug in der Welt der Biere.
Das Bier ist gut, spielt aber nicht in der Oberliga!

Although the mixture of sweetness, bitterness, and malt does not really sweep me off my feet, the high alcohol content comes too much to the fore in terms of taste, but there is nothing to complain about.
For my taste, the beer is too powerful and after a bottle you are full, but for the connoisseur who is satisfied with a bottle, certainly an interesting excursion in the world of beers.
