The weather this evening is fine and Halloween celebration is probably still ongoing for some you.
My daughter has just complained that she had the most hectic day and night. I am not surprised as she is sometimes a wait-until-last-minute kind of person. She only went out shopping this morning for her costume at Party City. As expected, she was undecided and kept texting family members for suggestions.
After that it was a rush to the grocery store for stuff to prepare a chilli dinner with friends. The kiddies would eat the usual mac and cheese, snacks, cupcakes and apple juice. Before food preparation, it was adding finishing touches to the decorations on the trees and door in front of house.
The rush and effort were worth it. The family just had a terrific evening. Dinner was a resounding success. After that, it was chaperoning the kiddo and his friends around the neighbourhood for fun trick or treat.
Finally, it was a quick visit to the community center to spend some time and share some cheer with young and elderly neighbours. The kiddo is totally exhausted and already fast asleep now while his mama like me is busy updating her journal.
