There are a lot of ways to plant rice in rice fields. It depends on the location, the area capacity or just being used to. It's true that it will be the same when it grows or when it will be harvested. However, the kind of planting is more important so the job will easily be done. I have a video again here on youtube where I found it easier to upload videos. Still, I will share images to make things clearer since you can barely hear me talking because of the waterproof action camera.
In our region, planting rice happens when there's a seedling to plant. That's why inside the rice fields we create 3 blocks of small areas and do something to make them higher-level rice field. When it gets a little bit higher than the rest of the land, we make sure to polish it to be flattened so it will be easier to spread the grains of rice.
We used any level tools to polish the land, just like what we used, a piece of a half bamboo tree. Repeatedly, we've done it just to make sure it would be. After it, we now threw the grains of rice.
An important thing to learn is to avoid the grains decomposing or rotting. We should avoid it or there will be no seedlings we can use to plant rice. According to them, if we just throw the grains without creating a higher level of land in a rice field, it will go deeper under the land. Of course, when this happens you will expect the mud to rot the grains because of the water.
We are all aware that rice should be planted in a rice field that consists of wet mud because of the water. That is the suitable land to plant rice but when it's already taller or already grown.
After all the preparation, the blocks where the grains of rice are thrown should be surrounded by a net. This is a way of protecting the grains from birds, chickens, or any animals that could eat them. Then when this will be done we will just wait for days and it's good to plant in the rice fields. That's how the rice is being planted, growing the seedlings first before planting them in the rice fields.
