She's a neighbour, a sister of my best friend and a classmate of my brother. She's living in one of the cities in the province of Cebu. She's working here with a decent a job. She's known as a hospital person for those who knows about her. I know her as a good person that is willing to help for those who are in needs. Not that much but she's willing to help.
When the quarantine started in Cebu and I'm not allowed to go home anymore. This woman contacted me chatted if I didn't make it to be home. I said yes and she asked me if I was fine here. I said I was but actually I wasn't. Physically and mentally, oh not to forget the financial problem.
I didn't ask her for a small support because it's embarrassing. She's not oblige anyway to help since she's not in politics. That's what I thought all along. However, she just told me that tell her if I have problems about food. Don't hesitate to tell her, just please do so", she said. I was feeling relieved hearing that words from here.
I haven't contacted her for more than a week. Then suddenly she called me through in Facebook messenger. She asked me if where do I live or where we will meet. I was surprised because I didn't ask her or I didn't tell her anything. So when she told me about that, I knew already why she wanted us to meet.
Then, just yesterday we met each other outside in our boarding house. She was riding on a car came from her office. When we meet she gave me with these bundle of canned goods and rice. I was happy because I wouldn't ask my family for a support from them. I know they're having problems in financial as well.
I was very happy, truly appreciate her. I never thought that someone will help me even though I've been always shy to approach people. Well, it's just part of my attitude and sorry for that. It wasn't my intention to be dramatic but when she left. My tears suddenly fell because of happiness.
This post is meant for her to let her know thay I am very very thankful. Even the world is so dark, I can still see light. Let's just keep on holding on and be patient.
