The name itself explains the location of this place. At the peak of the mountain but covered by the woods. It's hard to find, don't search it alone or you'll be lost in the depth of the forest. There were no visible pathways because it was like a gathering place for the people who loved to enjoy the nightlife despite the prohibition. Though it became known in today's generation, the joy that nourished this place was gone.
Shadow Paradise started to exist a long time ago. How many decades it may have been. No exact computation since I wasn't born when the fun of this place was still alive. According to my friend whose mother lived nearby. There was a disco there, role-playing that this place became a theatre and some normal gathering. They used a bonfire that served as the lights and a guitar that provided the music. However, it's all in the past now because this place is now abandoned but still, paradise exists.
To make it clear, visiting this place is free. Starting from the national road in the town you can reach this place through walking only. The main road that is concreted is a little bit far before arriving at this place. It's not being known or considered as a tourist spot in town, obviously, the road is not being taken care of.
You can walk through grasses and trees before arriving at this place. Well, not to worry that much because there's a small path that leads you to this place but I'm not sure if it's easier to go without any idea where you'll be going. It's located in the mountain part of the town after all and its name is Cacawan.
Fast forward, the place gives you joy just by sightseeing and roaming around. There were treehouses built and it's alright to use them. What I love about this place is so overlooking. You have a clearer view of the ocean even if you will not be at the top of the treehouse.
Although, it's nicer when you're in the treehouse because you have a better sight looking at this view. Just imagine how it feels to be at the top and you have the ability to see the whole surroundings. It's nice for sure.
Roaming around, the place has a narrower view even though this time grasses and plants are everywhere. The owner is very old and ill, so no one maintains the place to be clean. Unlike before, many flowers and stones were formed on the ground to make the place more beautiful.
Most people often visit this place because of the view for sure. Also, the refreshing feeling of being in this place is incomparable. It's good for camping as well but for now not good, these days rain keeps on pouring.
To be surrounded by green nature is already enough in my own opinion. How much more when seeing a beautiful view that took my breath away knowing I'm on top. In my own observation, most people love this place, and no need to explain why. You all can tell just by watching the images that I captured. Also, I have a video I uploaded on youtube for a better look when it's live.
You don't need to be afraid here because the locals love to stay here as well. They will treat you nice and I assure you of that. No records of the incident in this place after all.
You can choose where you want to be, just sitting on a bench or inside a treehouse. It's not bad to just sit on the bench where you can expand what you see.
However, to be in a treehouse is not that bad as well. The wind blows stronger above and of course, nothing can beat the view from up above. Let me show you first how it looked in this treehouse.
Let me highlight this treehouse because this one was an attraction of this place.
