Today one of our neighbours is celebrating his birthday. That person is old but we've known each other quite a while. He used to hang out with my friends when they're drinking. I don't drink much alcohol, once a week only to avoid a headache. But we used to drink together even though I joined them once a while. Just know each other, you can't really tell that we're friends. lol
My friend told me to come to their house because it's his birthday. Of course, I hesitated to come. Not obvious maybe but I'm shy in activities like this. Too many people, we don't what they will be thinking if I will just come by in there because there's a birthday celebration. Anyhow, the one who's celebrating the birthday came by into our boarding house. We talked a bit with my few board mates and forced us to go in there house to eat. I was still shy but refusing an offer will be an insult.
Sorry, I just managed to capture the food that I ate. It feels so embarrassing taking photos there. I managed to capture this photo because after I got this food. I returned to my boarding house to eat. There were too many visitors there and again I was shy to eat there. I know the food will be delicious to eat with many people. However, this time was different because I was not familiar with the other visitors were there.
As you can see I had lots of food right here. Well, I thought I could eat it all. But after all, I just can't and eat it later during dinner. I have now free viand food for later. I don't need to buy in some restaurants here because I already have food to be paired with my rice food.
By the way, this is how we do things here in the Philippines when someone will celebrate a birthday. The birthday celebrant will invite the people they knew to eat there and after will offer drinks like alcohol as well.
