Catching fish is one of the sources of income here in our Brgy. Not just because the establishment for job opportunities is limited. Sea is a few steps away from every household here. Even a simple way of fishing can be done with children. Although, catching bigger fish is not happening most of the time since the deeper part of the sea is a bit far from here. Even so, some fishermen caught big fish if fortunate. Just like it happened some time ago.

Oh, #marketfriday by @dswigle, it's fun to share posts about the market. It's not just showing the people how it looks like the place but can also give an idea to the people who might visit this place. It can be for promotion to let people understand that even in the street you can find fish being sold by the fishermen or vendors.

Waking up early has become part of my daily routine. Wait, am I that old according to them that the number of sleep every night shortened? Perhaps, but well we all go to that aging but still, we must accept it and enjoy life.

Early in the morning, I noticed a lot of people gathered in the next block along the street. Joining a gathering like this is not my thing but I didn't take my eyes off them because I was curious. When I heard people asking loudly and one of the people in that group shouted. I learned that a big fish was being caught. It's rare to catch this type of fish in our place. This fish was called "liplipan" in Bisaya and swordfish in English.

The meat of this fish is different from the fish nearby. The price is more expensive and maybe that's the reason. In a rush, I went there to ask if there was still left to sell. I saw one person (vendor/fisherman) just cleaning the fish. Thankfully, there was still left, and maybe because I arrived early. I ordered 1kg with a price of 350 pesos or 7 USD and more. But according to them the overall weight of the fish was 20kg.

It happens all the time when someone catches a big fish in our place. It will be displayed along the street where people can see it immediately. It's not a bad thing selling but sometimes it gets crowded and almost occupies the street. Good enough, not too many vehicles will pass by in this Brgy. road.

Before this post ended how about I will leave you a glance at this boy arriving at the shore. He's not an official fisherman but he knows how to do fishing. Well, it's not hard if you want to learn because even I know.
