Long run (My Actifit Report Card: November 10 2019), plus steem dApps

This morning I went for a long run - a tick over 20 kms. Today I ran a different route - I followed the course for the City2Surf. I didn't quite run the whole course because: 1) I ran from home, which is about 1km after the start line; and 2) near the end of the race they make you run a double-loop which adds a couple of kms to the course, which I didn't do. We walked this yesterday as part of our long walk, which included 'Sculptures by the sea'. I ran further in total than the race course because I carried on running home!

Here were some nice sights along the way:

More jacarandas - actually yesterday when we went past this on the bus, we saw Jacaranda Santa, something you don't see every day. A woman on the bus took a photo of him, then an old guy who mustn't have had a smartphone spoke to her, got his notebook out which had business cards in it, gave her one and asked her to email him the photo she took of Jacaranda Santa. RANDOM! Sadly, Jacaranda Santa wasn't there this morning when I ran past.

This magnificent building - the bins kind of ruin it though, shame. Doesn't 'Russian Nights' sound awesome?!

To close, a couple thoughts on steem dApps:

I started using @appics for the first time yesterday. I'm using the iOS TestFlight version and it's pretty neat. There are a few features they still need to build out. I haven't had much traction yet from my two posts, but I will keep trying. I don't plan to use it every day - I might just post interesting photos that I take on weekends. On Instagram, I'm a lurker (consumer) but I never post (create) so posting photos on @appics feels kind of odd. I suppose with practice it will come more naturally. I was telling mrshill about this dApp (which I've described to her as the 'Instagram of steem') yesterday (there is a lot of time for small-talk when you regularly do long walks!). This piqued her interest. She's interested in photography and uses Instagram for her businesses. @contrabourdon kindly gifted me an $INV token recently which we'll be able to use to help her get started. She's also interested in earning some spare change with @actifit, speaking of which ...
I really like the sound of @actifit's new gamification and social features. Looking forward to playing around with these when I've got more time (aka school holidays) and after I've accumulated 10,000 AFIT tokens (coming soon).
