Dreaming is good. But we have a negative thought about a daydream, no? People say that it's foolish to dream about something. Instead, we should work on that. Yeah, I agree. But how can we come up with an idea or make our mind to involve ourselves on that if we don't daydream and see the benefits of it?
Daydream is a form of innovation. You know when you think about your next move in a career, you may map it, plan for it in a pen and paper. But a daydream about it helps you to motive yourself and innovate new paths. Also, daydream connects us with our inner selves. We can better understand our thought process.
Not only that the biggest benefit I guess is it relaxes us. It's always not bad to overthink sometimes. Imagination expands reality. It helps us think beyond our imagination and gives us the power to take action for what we think impossible.
Yeah, it seems foolish to talk about a daydream. But think this way, a daydream is not for child or immature. Only a very mature mind can daydream. So, it's a creative form I would say. maybe it doesn't sound very helpful in an active way. But think about the passive ways it's helping you as I have explained above.
I'm not saying we have to spend hours on daydream or force ourselves to come up with some. Rather if you are daydreaming, don't feel bad about it. Try to release the judgemental thoughts about it and embrace what your mind and heart create during a daydream. Tap your daydream and relax. Life sometimes needs this little crazy thing to happen!
