One thing life has been teaching me lately is that starting again is not something to be ashamed of, Sometimes things happen, plans don't work out and you find yourself back at the beginning again. It can be frustrating especially when you feel like you have already tried your best. I have had moments like that too and there are times when I look at some things I wanted to achieve and realize that I am not yet where I thought I would be.
At first it can make you feel disappointed and you start thinking about the time you have spent, the effort you have made and the things that didn't work out, But I am slowly learning not to see starting again as a failure. Sometimes you just need to start from where you are, Maybe you made a wrong decision, maybe something you worked for didn't succeed, or maybe circumstances changed and you had to change your plans too.
Whatever the reason. it doesn't mean you should stop trying, I remember thinking about some situations and wishing I could go back and do things differently But the more I think about it the more I realize that there is no point spending all my energy wishing for yesterday.
Yesterday has already happened so
what I can do now is to learn from it and make better choices moving forward.
Starting again can actually make you stronger because this time you already know some of the mistakes you made before so you know what worked, what didn't work and the kind of things you need to be careful about, It is like writing something and making mistakes on the first page, You don't have to throw away the whole book, You can simply turn the page and continue. I am also learning not to let embarrassment stop me.
Sometimes we worry about what people will say when they see us trying again, You may think they will laugh at you or remind you about your previous failure but honestly people will always have something to say. At the end of the day it is your life, If you have to start again ten times before you finally get it right then start again ten times.
As a student I see this in my everyday life too, There are subjects I don't understand immediately, assignments that can be difficult and practicals that don't always go smoothly. Sometimes you have to go back, study again, ask questions and try another method because that is also part of learning. Life is not much different and
I don't want one bad experience to decide how the rest of my life will go.
I don't want to look at something that didn't work and conclude that nothing will ever work for me.I still have goals and I still have things I want to achieve and I know there will be more challenges along the way But now I am trying to take things one step at a time because If today doesn't go well I can try again tomorrow. If one plan fails I can make another plan. If I make a mistake I can learn from it and if I have to start again then I will start again.
I am not saying it is always easy because Sometimes it can be painful and frustrating But I am learning that a fresh start can also be an opportunity to do things better. So for anyone who feels like they are back at square one, don't be too hard on yourself because Starting again doesn't mean you have lost everything. Sometimes it simply means you have another chance to get it right.
