Of the truth making this artwork was not easy at all I thought it would be easy, When I first got the idea, I was already imagining how beautiful I wanted the final result to look. I wanted to create something simple but attractive, the kind of picture that when you look at it, you just feel somehow calm.
So I started with the background.The first thing I worked on was the sky because I wanted the sunset to be one of the things people would notice immediately. I started using the different colours together especially the orange and yellow around the sun. At first it wasn't looking exactly the way I wanted, and I had to keep adjusting it.Sometimes I would look at it and say, "No, this one is not giving me what I want." 馃槀
So I would change it again, After I was okay with the sky, I moved to the water. This part actually gave me some stress because I wanted the water to look real. I didn't want it to just look like I drew one straight blue surface and stopped there. I had to work on the small waves and also the way the sunlight was reflecting on the water.
The reflection of the sunset was one of the parts I really enjoyed working on. I always wanted the light from the sun to continue down into the water to beautify it, so I kept making little adjustments until it started looking better to my taste.Then came the person sitting beside the water.I wanted the person to look like someone who had gone there to just sit down and enjoy the evening.
Maybe after having a stressful day, you just find somewhere quiet, sit down and look at the sunset. That was the kind of feeling I wanted the artwork to have.Getting the position right wasn't very easy though. I had to make sure the person didn't look somehow strange or out of place. I also had to work on the clothes and the way the sunset light was falling After that I started adding the trees, plants and other things around the environment one after the other I added palm trees because I wanted the place to have that kind of natural and peaceful feeling.
I also worked on the land far away from the water so everything could blend together properly.One thing I noticed while making the artwork is that small details can actually take a lot of time.You can look at the picture and think, This thing is simple now. But when you're the one making it you'll understand that there are plenty of small things to fix. 馃槀
There were times I got tired and just wanted to leave it like that but anytime I looked at it again, I would notice another thing that needed to be changed.The biggest challenge for me was making everything look like they were actually part of the same place I don't want the sky to look like it belonged to one picture while the water and the person looked like they came from another picture.
So I kept working on the different parts until everything started coming together.Finally, I got to the last stage.At that point, I stopped focusing on individual parts and looked at the whole artwork. I checked the sky, the sunset, the water, the person, the trees and the ground. I wanted to make sure there was nothing that was looking too strange.And honestly, when I finally saw the finished work, I was happy with myself.Something that started from just an idea in my head had finally turned into a complete artwork.What I like most about the picture is the atmosphere.
It gives me that feeling of sitting somewhere quiet in the evening after a very stressful day, with nobody disturbing you. Just you, the water and the sunset.Making this artwork also made me understand that you need patience when you're creating something. You might start and everything may not look good and perfect immediately but that doesn't mean you should stop. Sometimes you just need to keep working on it little by little.It wasn't a perfect process.
There were times I got frustrated and tired, there were things I had to change and there were moments I wasn't even sure if the final result would come out the way I wanted.But in the end everything came together and I was excited And looking at the finished artwork now, I can honestly say the stress was worth it. 馃槄From the first idea to working on the sunset, adding the water, creating the person, putting the trees and other details, and finally making the last adjustments, it was a nice experience for me.I'm happy with how it came out and hopefully, the next artwork will be even better and great than this one
